Summary
We worked with Questacon to write a series of stories to celebrate the science centre's 35th anniversary.
We interviewed stakeholders including visitors and members, staff and volunteers, the architect of the Questacon building, and the former chair of the Questacon Advisory Committee. From the interviews, we wrote 16 stories, each around 500 words, to showcase the impact Questacon has on its visitors and the broader community.
The final stories captured messages that supported Questacon's vision of Australians being inspired by science and technology.
Our approach
Our stakeholder engagement phase involved planning our interview approach with the Questacon team to ensure we asked the right questions to the right interviewees. This careful planning meant we were able to get all the information we needed from one short interview with each stakeholder.
Our expertise in strategic content design allowed us to identify where and how stakeholder experiences aligned with Questacon's vision. We blended these high-impact messages into engaging narratives using Questacon's distinctive style and inspirational tone.
Our collaborative, organised workflow meant we surpassed client expectations from the first draft, ensuring that we were able to meet tight deadlines and complete the project in a short timeframe.
Outputs
The team had an excellent sense of judgement and worked with our high-profile stakeholders with care and sensitivity. We very much value the approach the team took, your attention to detail and the quality of the stories you developed — we have a lovely output that has received great feedback. — Questacon
